This was a very conterversal shirt created by CISV Victorias Steering comittee. I think only 10 were ever made and there's a story behind this specific shirt, but i'll leave that to one of the members to tell.
Actually, there's a bit of a mix-up here... This shirt was sort of played off of a shirt made a few years earlier by CISV Toronto kids... the Toronto one was the one that only made 10 copies. The shirt quoted Ryan from Ottawa saying "we put the cult back in cultural understanding", but they were too afraid to put any CISV logo on the shirt because it was just an inside joke with a bunch of people. The original white shirt with the ryan quote is a collectors item and now the number of them left is likely down to five or less. I had one but it disintegrated after too many times in the wash. A dude named gibbs from ottawa still has his (becuase he rarely washes his clothes) and you could probably find it on his bedroom floor under a pile in the corner. peaceout.
Yer damn right I still have that shirt! And yes, it can be found dirty somewhere in my room, but chaos is order in my world. A word of acvice on cleaning CISV shirts: Only wash them after 3 to 5 wears. This will prolong the life of the shirt by an estimated 2 to 4 years depending on the quality of the print and whether or not you're a messy eater.
It would be FANTASTIC to have one of these shirts!! My boyfriend always says (in jest) that i belong to a cult... I would proudly wear this! Rebecca (NZ)
