Guatemala Jersey!

Guatemala Jersey!

16 of 19. Fer (GUA) is rocking out his cool delegation uniform- as you can see, it says C.I.S.V. Guatemala on the front, and I believe the backs all said Norway and had a number on them. Helt i 100 village, obviously. Toby (USA)

Nordic Jackets

Nordic Jackets

14 out of 19.

Going from left to right, we have Claire (USA JC), Malan (FAI JC), and
Bernt (NOR) enjoying the sunlit mountaintop on the Helt i 100
village's Elevation Day. Malan is wearing an awesome CISV Faroe
Islands sweatshirt- it's got cartoon whales jumping over the logo and
Faroyar printed underneath. Bernt is sporting the official Helt i 100
Staff Fleece, which is the same as the Helt i 100 camp t-shirt...
except it's a fleece, and it says "staff" over the logo.

Toby (USA)

Classic Pilipinas

Classic Pilipinas

19 of 19!

Okay, this photo will be the last one... for a while. Here we have
Claire (USA JC) again, this time stirring up some beef in a classic
and classy CISV Philippines t-shirt. Stylin', n'est-ce pas? This was
taken, of course, at the HELT I 100 VILLAGE in Tromso, Norway.

Okay, everyone- I've spammed the server to the point where it dropped
a couple of emails. (What happened to 14 and 16? I surely don't
know, but you can see them on the Flickr album.) Now it's your turn-
don't let me dominate this! Send your photos to Nick or to the
automatic entry address- I think we've all seen how well the latter
works. We just broke 100 shirts, let's aim for 200!

Peace out!

Toby (USA)

Is that clear enough for you?

Is that clear enough for you?

18 of 19 - the penultimate shirt!

Glori (CRC) is wearing a cool design from CISV Costa Rica- the text is
clear enough, I think. This picture was taken at the Helt i 100
village by our awesome Willage Director, Bernt (NOR).

Toby (USA)

Classic Cincinatti

Classic Cincinatti

17 of 19.

Claire (USA JC) is getting her groove on in a classic CISV design from
the Cincinatti chapter. She had a couple pieces of Cincy gear with a
"where the dream began" logo on it, but I don't have good pictures of
those. I think this picture might've been taken by one of my
delegates- this was obviously one of our dance parties. Helt i 100
village, of course!

Toby (USA)

Deutschland uber alle HOT HOODIES!

Deutschland uber alle HOT HOODIES!

15 of 19.

Caro (GER) is working away on an arts and crafts project in her
kick-a$$ CISV Germany hoodie. Are we allowed to keep floating hoodies
up on here, given that this is a t-shirt website? Anyways, one of my
girls traded her custom CISV red neighborhoodie for one of these fine
German pieces. I wish they'd had one in my size. Helt i 100 village,
Tromso.

Toby (USA)

How alike am I to you?

How alike am I to you?

13 of 19.

Here's another Philippines design- it looks like someone's stepping up
to challenge the design powerhouse of Sao Paolo, eh? The line of
people holding hands does go all the way around the shirt, and I think
there's another version where they run around the bottom. It's being
worn by Tricia (PHI), the awesome Philippines leader of the Helt i 100
village in Tromso, Norway. Picture taken by Bernt (NOR).

Live to Love - CISV Philippines

Live to Love - CISV Philippines

12 of 19.

Tess (SWE) is wearing one of the nicest shirts I've seen in a while-
the 2004 Philippines "Live To Love" design. In case you can't see in
the reduced pic, it's got "CISV" in an archaic font woven into the
neato curlicues stuff. Photo taken by Rafa (BRA) at the Helt i 100
village in Tromso, Norway.

Toby (USA)

Sao Paolo is Enormous!

Sao Paolo is Enormous!

11 of 19.

I just realized that whatever I'm entering for the slashed-o in Tromso
is working in my email but coming out incorrectly on the t-shirts
page. Nick, could you fix that, please?

Here we have Christian (DEN) modeling an extremely baggy CISV Sao
Paolo hoodie that's just a tad too big for him. Picture taken by Rafa
(BRA) at the Helt i 100 village in Tromso, Norway.

Hoodie Italiano!

Hoodie Italiano!

Giacomo (ITA) is wearing a very nice embroidered CISV Italia
sweatshirt. It's a classic design; note that the logo is in the
middle of the back so that it can be seen when the hood is down.
Stylin'. Picture taken, of course, at the Helt i 100 village in
Tromsø, Norway.

Bridging the world from CISV Tromsø

Bridging the world from CISV Tromsø

9 of 19, almost halfway there!

Here we are again, back at the Helt i 100 village in Tromsø, Norway.
In this shot, super-staffie Eirik is wearing a stylish blue CISV
Tromsø t-shirt. I don't know who designed it or what year it was, but
I'm sure he'll tell us once he finds this website. Photo by yours
truly.

Norwegian Baseball Shirt

Norwegian Baseball Shirt

8 of 19.

This particular style of shirt is usually called a baseball shirt, so
it's kind of interesting to see it used for a CISV Norway t-shirt.
Incidentally, that's our fearless director Bernt (NOR) wearing it.
Helt i 100 village in Tromsø, Norway, and I'm the photographer on this
one.

How to be a CISVer...

How to be a CISVer...

7 of 19.

I believe this is a CISV Philippines shirt, but I'm not certain. The
text reads as follows...

"Choose peace. Hug a lot. Sing in the Rain. Be Spontaneous. Do the
pony song. Make new friends. Laugh often. Do the Labadu. Give
massages. LOVE. Run under the sun. Play! Make peace, not war. Act
silly. Understand one another's points of view. Learn to make
friendship bracelets. Stay up late. Have a merry heart. Jump and
fly during kiitos. Sing during lullabies. Plant a tree. Give lots
of goodnight hugs. Go Barefoot. Get excited about everything. Be
open to different cultures. Have fun. Learn greetings in different
languages. Be a clown. Don't be afraid to cry. Be a free spirit.
Volunteer. Make a difference, touch someone's life. LIVE LIFE."

Let's see... I've got just about all of those, except I don't know
what the Labadu is.

The picture was taken by our fearless willage director, Bernt (NOR) at
the Helt i 100 village in Tromsø, Norway.

Because everyone's your friend in New York City...

Because everyone's your friend in New York City...

6 of 19.

Here I am again, sporting a classic CISV NYC t-shirt. I'm laughing
because my joking "everybody line up behind Toby" line actually
worked, and all the kids lined up behind me for the pancakes that had
just been served. I never expected it to actually work! I bought the
shirt at my leader training in Newark, and Rafa (BRA) took the
picture. Helt i 100 village, Tromsø, Norway.

(For bonus points, name the song and artist I'm quoting in the title.)

Sao Paolo meets Philly!

Sao Paolo meets Philly!

5 of 19.

Remember that super-popular Philly CISV shirt with all the flags in
the letters? Well, Sao Paolo turned it into a hoodie. Rafa (BRA)
took this picture, and that's Dri (BRA) wearing it at the Helt i 100
village in Tromsø, Norway.

Toby (USA)

You call that a CISV logo? *THIS* is a CISV logo.

You call that a CISV logo? *THIS* is a CISV logo.

4 of 19! The fearless Rafa (BRA) is beginning to gather his energy for Samurai Intergalactico in this fabulous extra-large logo CISV Sao Paolo shirt. It's most likely another 2004 model, but again, I have no idea who the designer was. I think this particular shirt ended up in Italy. This picture was taken with Rafa's camera, but it clearly wasn't taken by Rafa. It was, however, taken at the Helt i 100 village in Tromsø, Norway! WOOO! Toby (USA)

Just another brick in the wall...

A CISV Germany shirt, being worn by a Costa Rican delegate at the Helt

Giacomo, and submitted by a madman from that big country with the
silly pants.

Trondheim Staffie Hoodie

Trondheim Staffie Hoodie

2 of 19!

Here we have super-staffie Eirik wearing a stylish black staff hoodie
from a village in Trondheim, Norway. He's wearing it outside the
Polaria arctic center in marvelous Tromsø, Norway, which just happened
to be the location of the Helt i 100 village! My delegate Veronica
took this picture.

Toby (USA)

JC Supershirt Bonanza!

JC Supershirt Bonanza!

Remember how I said that Tromsø shirt picture was my last one? I
lied! MWAHAHAHA! After spending a full afternoon rummaging through
nearly seven thousand pictures from our marvelous village, I picked
out 19 pictures with wonderful CISV shirts in them, and I'm going to
submit them ALL RIGHT NOW. There's nothing you can do to stop me!
AHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Well, I suppose you could ask me to stop, but that'd be cheating.

Anyways, moving from left to right, we have Sunniva (NOR), Claire
(USA), and Wiggy (BRA) modeling some lovely standard issue CISV shirts
from the Philippines, Cincinatti, and Linkoping, Sweden. This picture
was taken at the open day of the Helt i 100 village in Tromsø, Norway.

Site news.

Thanks to folks like Karo and Toby, who've uploaded great shirts, I can now focus a little more on the site itself: Over the Easter weekend my server broke down, and still doesn't work, so with Teo's help I transfered everything over to the IJB website, where hopefully things will be running more smoothly. The next good news is, that the latest CISV shirt will now always be featured on the front page of the IJB- and CISV Italy's website. If you are a CISV webmaster, and would like to have a "Daily-Shirt" image on your site, just drop me a note. Also, as you might have noticed, I've smoothend the design a little bit - I hope you like it. That's it for today, Happy Easter, everybody.

We are all heroes... forever!

We are all heroes... forever!

I figure people must be getting tired of me and all my shirts, and I
have some good news- this is the last one! And it's my favorite,
because it's the official shirt of my first village.

My sisters have been in CISV for more than a decade- Lee actually
*designed* one of the shirts on the February page- and so I've known
about it for ages. I thought I had an idea of what I was getting into
before we left.

Of course, I had *no* idea. It was wonderful- no, more than
wonderful!- and I intend to keep doing CISV until my great-grandkids
tie me to my bed for doing the Pony song too often.

Hopefully, I'll have collected a lot more shirts before that happens,
but this one will always be special.

Peace out!

Toby (USA)

Powerpuff!

Powerpuff!

Here's another fabulous CISV shirt from the Sao Paolo chapter, and
again, I have no idea who the designer is. Traded for at the Helt i
100 village in Tromsø, 2004.

Brazilians, you guys should give these designers their proper credit
in the comments. They make awesome shirts, they deserve some
recognition for it!

CISV Italia - Hands Around The World

CISV Italia - Hands Around The World

No idea on the name of the designer or the year of design, but the
chapter from Italy's Motor Valley put together a nice little design
for this t-shirt. I traded for it at the Helt i 100 village in Tromsø
in 2004, and I feel obliged to point out that this is not a "slim-fit"
style. I'm one of those people who XL's actually fit, so I don't
share the excitement for Denmark's haute couture slim line- if
everybody gets those, I'll never find anything that fits me!

Toby (USA)

Maine-iacs...

Maine-iacs...

A simple design writ large. I don't know when it was designed, but I
got it in the fall of 2004 at the Orono Chapter meeting.

Neighborhoodies

Neighborhoodies

There are only five of these jackets in the world right now- three are
in the US, one is in Germany, and one is in Sweden. They were the
unofficial travel uniform for the Brandywine Valley delegation to the
Helt i 100 village in Tromsø, Norway in 2004. We got them custom-made
and hand-stitched from a company called Neighborhoodies- they're based
in New York City, but you can order from anywhere in the world through
their website. I wore mine almost every day, and I had a matching
t-shirt that I traded away.

I shall call him... Mini-Me.

I shall call him... Mini-Me.

Gabri (CRC) and I (USA) are modeling the companion t-shirt to the
"bathroom" hoodie. Nothing on the back of this one, just the cool
logo on the front and a classic CISV Sao Paolo - Brazil logo on the
sleeve. Again, a 2004 design, and I still have no idea who the
designer is.

In case anyone is wondering, the long "AAAAAAAAA" sign taped to the
wall was my surprise contribution to everybody's favorite post-meal
ritual after I completely lost my voice on the sixth or seventh day of
the village.

Toby (USA)

"Bathroom" Hoodie

"Bathroom" Hoodie

This design comes from some brilliant people in CISV Sao Paolo- it's
affectionately called the bathroom design because the boy/girl figures
down on the pocket look sort of like the markers on public restroom
signs. I believe it's a 2004 design, but I don't know who the
designer is. I traded for it at the Helt i 100 village in Tromsø,
Norway.

Norway hoodie

I traded for this fine sweatshirt in 2004 at the Helt i 100 willage in

I've worn it a ton since then.

CISVshirts on vacation.

I'll be gone for a week of skiing, so please don't expect any new shirts showing up here...except: Just in time, I discovered that anybody can easily contribute to the CISV shirt archive directly by e-mail: Just send an attached picture of a CSIV-shirt to this addresse, put the title in the subject line and the caption along with your name into the body of the e-mail. Like magic, two minutes later, your image will appear right...here. I encourage you to try it our. If something goes wrong, you want your image removed afterwards or a change to the caption, no problem, I'll do that for you. So long, Nick

"I think this shirt is more than 15 years old, I found it from camp shop and it was the last one (somebody told me it's maybe printed in 80's, don't know). The size is S, but still it is VERY big and my plan is to make it little bit more fashionable myself." writes Linda (FIN). Good old 80s baggy shirts, I guess now people prefer the slim line.

As a special feature celebrating the first 50 T-shirts in the archive
(yes, the bunnyhug below is #50, hurray) I'm presenting a contribution
from Peter (GBR): "These are limited edition CISV Y-fronts from Great
Britain Junior Branch. They were printed in 2004 at an undisclosed
location in the UK. They have nver been worn and probably never will
be as the first time I ever tried to put them on I nearly lost my
reproductive organs they were so tight."
