Apparently Flickr has moved pictures around between their servers and as a result they have disapeared from the blog entries of the CISV pictures database. This mostly applies to the old pictures, so I've been a little slow noticing what has happened. Now, about 20% of the pictures aren't on display at the moment - just look at the all-shirts-page. I'd really like to fix this problem, but unfortunately it's a bit of a fuss making things work again - that's why I need some help. If YOU are a fan o the T-shirts website and you can spare some time, maybe you can help: I'll send you detailed instructions, and hopefully we can make all pictures re-apear soon. Please contact me at cisvshirts@ijb.cisv.org. Also I'm trying something new with Google's Friends connect tools. We'll have to see how that works with the CISV Shirts website. Update: Hooray, apparently Flickr fixed the problem. I was just about to get upset that nobody, no absolutely nobody, offered help...

There was no delegation from Bacolod, nor from the Philippines but this shirt was a gift from Martin to Henning (model in the picture), which Martin asked me to pass it on to him. We all met in The Wonderful Village of Os last year and this year I was staffing with Henning at Wild Bird Village.

It traveled from Bacolod, Philippines to Hong Kong, stopped over in Thailand and finally in Norway. In this picture shows both front and back. I really like the shirt. Hopefully, it will have it in my CISV t-shirt collection soon. This was during the Talent Show, taken by Andre.

back or anywhere else. It came with variety colors to choose (more than four, of course). And
these four eating, happy and crazy kids were my delegation to "The Wonderful Village of Os" in Os,

The Rubber Duck T-Shirt

The greatness of this T-shirt does not lie in the very nice front of it with our dear yellow rubberduck sitting on top of the world, the great drawing by Eline (BEL).

The whole story behind this T-shirt lies in the statistics on its back, something all the participants came up with, telling many wonderful stories and memories from the Seminar. From the enormous amounts of food consumed in those 3 weeks, especially that addictive sweet bread, to the great special memories of the shisha nights, the lucy game and the pool and the tanning hours spent at free time, to the very few bad moments, trips to the hospital, and the excessive amount of very f*********ly annoying flies around the camp site and the endless votes that made camp meetings so long and boring because we kept voting on everything.

The shirt comes in black and white with the new CISV Portugal logo on one of its sleeves, the name of the camp – Rubberduck Seminar Camp - on the front over the rubberduck peacefully taking over the world and the host country and year – Portugal 2007 – under the drawing and the names of the participants and staffs on the back under the fun statistics.

World in a Bubble Staff Hoodie!

A few words on Rebranding...

As you may know CISV international has gone through a process of rebranding itself: This is not about creating a whole new CISV, but just a "visual identity" that especially people not so familiar with CISV will recognize. Among other things the Rebranding process has designed a new logo - similar to the old one, but a bit fresher and better readable, especially in small size. The Rebranding team also makes a number of suggestions on how to design t-shirts, something definetly worth reading. Not to forget - the CISV brand indea is not about stopping creativity, we hope that many more crazy, funny, wicked, creative CISV shirts will be made in the future, yet with the official "CISV style" in it somehow. Personally, I think this whole thing is a good idea, and hope that those of you who dislike the concept of "branding" or simply prefer the old logo over the new one will see the opportunities that were created. Oh, and the prize for first T-shirt ever with the new logo obviously goes to Australia. Cheers, Nick

The front of the shirts have a design from the Book "Oh the places you'll go" by Dr. Suess, however with the CISV logo replacing a Balloon.

On the back their is a quote from the book, suiting the young adult travelers.

Dr. Suess was the shirts theme because Dr. Suess was native to Springfield, Massachusetts, USA.

This shirt was designed by our artistic staff member Vale. A truly out of

the ordinary design. Not like any other CISV shirt I've seen before.

There was a misprint so the name of the camp was not printed on the shirt

which just makes it unique so only if you have the shirt you know from which

camp it is.

I love this shirt not only because of the great memories it brings from my

first time as a staff but also because its the only CISV shirt with 2 colors

(yes the sleeves are black), plus its the only cisv shirt my friends have

complimented (of course at first they don't know its a cisv shirt).

One Year Anniversary.

Without noticing, the CISV shirts website turned 1 a couple of days ago - Jan 8th to be precise. More than 350 pictures have been posted, mostly T-shirts, but also bandanas, caps, boxers and Thai pants, which is great. Almost 100 indiviudal pages of the T-Shirt site are viewed everydays, so I guess people are still enjoying, even if the stream of new shirts has faded out a bit recently. I still have a whole bunch of ideas in the back of my head, on how to make the site even more fun and interesting, but I'll stick to my rule - one new feature fore every 100 pics posted. So we'll need a few more to call it 400 - keep them coming, ok? Anything you'd like to see here, please let me know. Thanks everybody, who shared their pictures and ideas. From the Seminar Camp in Nykøbing Falster in 2005. As you can see, the main

design is a cigarette box... For those of you who went to seminar, you

might understand why! The vast majority of participants could be

categorized as SICK SICK SMOKERS. Instead of "Rygning kan dræbe" ("smoking

kills", in Danish), our box reads "May lead to world peace" which is very

adorable. I must say that this design was made by our German participants

Stephie and Philip (the techno-boy).

This is the official CISV kitchen babe tshirt from the bare

necessities village in manchester. One of our kitchen babes Lizzie

came up with the idea of printing tshirts that said kitchen babe with

the CISV logo on the back.. and so this tshirt became the highlight of

This is the camp tshirt of the manchester bare necessities village in

2005. This holds very sentimental value to all the camp because our

beloved kitchen staff had tshirts that said "kitchen babes" so

everyday at meal times everyone would yell "WE LOVE KITCHEN BABES" so

they would be picked to get food first... naturally this became our

favourite quote from camp! thank u kitchen babes!
